Mobile Film Ministry

Family Film Night, an outreach of Meriden Hills Baptist Church, provides a free, outdoor Christian film behind the church at 139 Charles Street every Friday night, weather permitting, at dusk.  Bring lawn chairs, snacks, and friends.  Weather permitting, the films will run until the end of October.

The USA Mobile Film Ministry presents outdoor family Christian films and travels throughout the United States showing good wholesome, family Christian films on a 12' inflatable screen with an incredible sound system.  There is not cost, but donations are accepted.

In addition to the fim, a special music video is shown just prior to the start of the film, while everyone is waiting for it to get dark enough to start the movie.  The music is all Christian and has some beautiful scenery along with a good message.  There is no "rock" or drums in the music and it will not offend any denomination.

We only show CHRISTIAN films which have a clear Gospel message.  We do not rent our system out to show secular films.  We have a variety of good family films for all ages.  Many films can also be shown in different languages or sub-titled so that a diverse group can enjoy a film together.

Outdoor films are perfect for adult, teen, and youth activities, family outings, church outreach, and campground entertainment.

This ministry was started to fill a void in Christian entertainment today.  Many Christians can't watch the TV and prefer not to attend secular movies due to the "obscene" and "foul" content that permeates most screens today.  My wife and I were first introduced to Christian films over 30 years ago.  We accepted Jesus Christ after viewing a Christian Police film, as I was a Police Officer at the time.  Since most drive-in theaters no longer exist, we felt that showing films on an outdoor screen would bring back some of the nostalgia that many of us once knew.  We hope and pray that through this ministry, others will ask the question - "If I died right now, where would I spend eternity?" and come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior just as my wife and I did after watching a similar film.
