Missionaries Serving God Around The World

These are the names and addresses of the missionaries that Meriden Hills Baptist Church helps to support.  Our missionaries go to places that we can't.   Remember each missionary in prayer.   Feel free to write them a letter of encouragement.

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16:15

The man God called to start this ministry is Dr. Abraham. After receiving training in Gospel ministry and earning an M.A. from Liberty University, he was ordained for Gospel Ministry in May 1976. Dr. Abraham soon returned to India with financial assistance raised by Dr. Jerry Falwell for the ministry. Returning to India Dr. Abraham began an evangelistic ministry and later moved to church planting by the end of 1977.  Dr. Abraham was honored for his services for the Lord in India by Liberty University, with a Doctor of Divinity Degree in May 1992. His wife Alice and daughters Lali and Leela and their families are involved fully in the ministry.

Bryant and Sharon Wooten are missionaries to the Philippines.

"I was led to the Lord by a pastor in my home on January 20, 1983 at the age of fifteen. I grew very little as a Christian in the following eight years. Sharon and I began attending Woodlawn Baptist Church in October 1991 because of my father’s persistent  encouragement. On Christmas Eve of the same year, Sharon was led to Christ by Pastor Ron Fenwick and I rededicated my life to serve the Lord. Shortly thereafter, we both began to get involved in the various ministries in our church and began to truly grow in our faith. I served in the bus ministry for seven years while my wife served in the music ministry. In April 1993, the Lord burdened my heart about full-time Christian service in the area of missions. I surrendered to His call and began the training process. My wife also surrendered to God’s call for us to be a missionary family before we were married in June 1993. After graduating from Chesapeake Baptist College in 1997, my wife and I attended the annual missions conference at Windsor Hills Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, OK pastored by Dr. Jim Vineyard. At that conference the Lord confirmed in my heart that He wants me to endeavor to return to the Philippines as a missionary. I believe the Lord planted the seed in my heart for this calling when I lived in the Philippines for two years while serving in the United States Air Force. My home church ordained me to preach the Gospel in September 1998. We then moved to Oklahoma to attend Oklahoma Baptist College to receive training for the mission field. I completed the Masters of Missions program and graduated in May 2000. My wife and I attended the candidate school conducted by Windsor Hills Baptist Church to complete our formal training before beginning deputation.
